Episode 11 – “A Son for a Son”

At the Wall, Cregan Stark promises Jacaerys Targaryen 2,000 troops for Rhaenyra’s forces. Meanwhile, Rhaenyra flies to Storm’s End and finds remains of Luke and his dragon Arrax. After returning to dragon stone she demands for Aemond’s death.

Aegon II strives to be a kind king, but Otto Hightower, his grandfather and Hand, urges him to be tough towards the smallfolk to secure resources for the war, despite the blockade. Aegon brings his young son and heir Jaehaerys to the Small Council for training. Larys exploits Alicent’s fears of betrayal. Guilt-ridden over Lucerys’s death, she asks Otto to wage war sparingly.

Having survived the brothel fire, Mysaria arrives at Dragonstone and is arrested for treason. Daemon offers her freedom in exchange for helping him recruit two assassins. Sneaking into King’s Landing, Daemon bribes a ratcatcher called “Cheese” and a City Watch guard nicknamed “Blood” to kill Aemond. However the assassins were unable to find aemond in Red keep, the two enter Helaena’s quarters and murder Jaehaerys (Aegon 2 son) instead. Helaena, clutching Jaehaerys’ twin sister, Jaehaera, escapes to Alicent’s chambers, finding her and Criston Cole in bed together.

Episode 12 – “Rhaenyra The Cruel”

King Aegon is devasted by the death of his son Prince Jaehaerys and hastily assembles his Small Council, wanting revenge on Rhaenyra. Ser Otto suggests a public funeral to tarnish Rhaenyra’s image. Though reluctant at first alicent and helaena are surprised by peoples reaction. In the procession, a herald chants, “Rhaenyra the Cruel”, as Alicent and Helaena receive the people’s condolences.

City Watch guard “Blood” is captured; he confesses to Lord Larys that Daemon hired him and his accomplice, a ratcatcher but did’nt know his name. In Dragonstone, Rhaenyra worries her popularity will suffer. Suspecting Daemon ordered Jaehaerys’ death if Aemond were absent, Rhaenyra says she no longer trusts him. Daemon then flies to Harrenhal to recruit alliances.

Having escaped assassination, Aemond, remorseful over Lucerys’ death, seeks solace at a brothel. Sir Criston blames Ser Arryk for the death of Aegons son and order him to kill Rhaenyra by infiltrating Dragonstone disguised as his twin, Erryk.

Rhaenyra grants Mysaria freedom. While departing Dragonstone, Mysaria notices Arryk arriving and notifies a guard. When Arryk later enters Rhaenyra’s chambers, Erryk bursts in and kills his brother. Overcome with grief, he takes his own life. Aegon publicly hangs all ratcatchers, including “Cheese”, which infuriates Otto, who fears damage to the image of King and that people will revolt against this , Aegon dismisses Otto as Hand of the King and appoints Ser Criston as his new hand.

Episode 13 – “The Burning Mill”

In the Riverlands, Brackens and Blackwoods engage in a deadly battle over a minor territorial dispute. Rhaenys suggest Rhaenyra to speak with alicent face to face to avoid war as she may also not favor war.

Criston the new hand at the small council proposes a bold plan to conquer Harrenhal, however Daemon arrives there first and the castellan pledges allegiance. The same night Daemon has a vision of a young Rhaenyra sewing Jaehaerys’ head onto his body. He awakens, and an unknown woman foretells his death.

Rhaenyra sends Rhaena, her younger children, and dragon eggs to the Arryns for their protection and to continue House Targaryon if the Black fall in war. Mysaria becomes Rhaenyra’s adviser, while Aegon makes Larys his Master of Whisperers.

At a brothel, a man claims to be a bastard half-brother of King Viserys and Prince Daemon; Aegon and his advisors bring a new squire there. Aegon encounters and taunts a naked Aemond, who gruffly departs.

Baela, patrolling on Moondancer, spots Criston’s scouting party en route to Harrenhal Hall and reports back to Dragonston. Rhaenyra’s councilors recommend war with dragons. Instead, Rhaenyra sneaks into King’s Landing disguised as a Septa to speak with Alicent.

After dicussion, Rhaenyra realizes Alicent that she misunderstood King Viserys’ dying words and mistook her son, Aegon, for the prophesied Aegon the Conqueror but Alicent says its too late and war cannot be avoided.

After confrontation between Rhaenyra and Daemon , she says she no longer trusts him. Therefore Daemon then flies to Harrenhal to recruit alliances and the castellan pledged their allegiance. The same night at Harrenhal Daemon has a vision of a young Rhaenyra sewing Jaehaerys’ head onto his body. He awakens, and finds himself standing Infront of a wire wood outside castle where an unknown woman foretells his death.
